INUF Wanderers Success

The INUF Wanderers, the INUF football team, goes back more than ten years. We regularly train at West Ham Park, where we are coached by Andrew Grey, the INUF Advocate, who also holds a Level 1 Award in Coaching Football from the FA (Football Association). We have a 7-8 member group, comprising of service users and staff.

We have been playing in the Positive Mental Attitude league in Middlesex (Uxbridge), where we finished fourth out of eight teams in the league this year, gaining runners up medals. We are all looking forward to the end of season tournament in June, in which we will play eight 12-minute games.

We have recently joined a new disability league, called the South London Special League (SLSL) in Greenwich, in which we play in the highest-ranking group out of three. We recently managed to finish in second place, and only narrowly missed first place: conceding a goal in the last five seconds!

We are also all looking forward to the new season: “Come on INUF Wanderers!”
