Women’s Group Make Sweet Music

Last week the Horizon Woman’s Group had the chance to stretch their vocal cords, when local singing coach, Mandy Harris, came to Ithaca House to give a singing workshop. She has been teaching singing since 1996, and is also a youth worker and informal educator.

The group did voice exercises, sang rounds, and then were divided into sopranos and altos to sing “Lovely Day” made famous by Bill Withers. There were also solo spots by Dawn and Sarah. Everyone said how much they enjoyed the experience.
