Following up on our last blog post about INUF's success in the South London Special League (SLSL) Cup Tournament, we have a personal report by INUF volunteer, Rakesh Rishi, who also runs the Men's Group.
"We arrived at 11.00am on 19 October at North Greenwich for our second cup game in the league – having been invited by one of our rival teams (Waltham Forest).
Our chief player and coach, Andrew Grey, was absent, but we played under the watchful eye of INUF Manager, Chris Tzanetis.
The four, seven-minute games were action-packed and gruelling. We managed to win two, draw a third, and lose a fourth to our rivals, Waltham Forest.
Overall, we managed to scoop second place, winning silver medals, missing out on the cup win. Hopefully, with our dedicated training, we can win first place next time!
Our next match in the SLSL will be at 11.00 am, on Thursday, 16 November at Long Lane Junior Football Club, Dursley Road, Kidbrooke, London SE3 8PB. Feel free to come along and give us your support, if you are available!
We also play in the North West London League, which comes under the umbrella of Middlesex FA, with matches taking place once a month.
