INUF End of Year Party Goes with a Bang- Literally!
About 50 INUF members enjoyed the annual End of Year Party in the Ithaca House Main Hall on 20 December.
As usual, the event started with the AGM at midday, where various report were read out, and volunteers were awarded with certificates to much applause.

Volunteer, Pat Brown, is awarded her certificate.
After the meeting, the party really got going with delicious food, catered by new business, Mian Catering, who gave us a great discount on lamb and veggie curries, rice and peas, roast chicken, veggie pakoras, and salad.

After the plates were cleared, there was the traditional karaoke contest, won by June Brown, with her rendition of “New Flame”; musical chairs, with Richard, finally triumphant after coming second for several years; bingo, with Jordan Shamsoo, winning 3 prizes; a challenging quiz, won by the Famous Five, with Pat Brown, Gwineth Grant, Greg Eboji, Jenny Shepherd & Neil from Newham People First; and lots of local businesses kindly donated raffle prizes, with the main prize of a mobile phone won by new member, Mahendra Emrith.

To finish off the party, Amadu Tarawally wiped the floor with the other contestants to gain first prize in the dance contest. Ballooons, which had been decorating the tables, somehow ended up all over the floor, and the music was punctuated by lots of loud bangs, as the dancers stamped on them…
