Pursuing Fitness, Gently
As part of its “Fitness Pursuit” programme, INUF has just started 12 weeks of chair-based exercises, to encourage people who are usually less keen or able to take part in the other keep fit activities we offer.
Led by Shareen Akhtar, a professionally qualified fitness instructor, members can start their “fitness journey”, with a series of fun, gentle, mostly seated exercises, to allow their bodies to begin to get used to moving.
Six people attended the first session last Monday, 22 January, and everyone said they enjoyed it, and would attend future sessions. We hope more members will take part in the following weeks.
