After a gap of about six months, INUF is delighted to announce the return of the popular Horizon Women’s Group. It had some of the best attendances of any group, when it ran last year.
We have been able to restart it, due to funding from London Catalyst. London Catalyst is an independent grant-making trust, which provides funding for charities and not-for-profit organisations to deliver projects and improve services. Their aims are twofold: to alleviate the effects of poverty, and to improve the health and well-being of Londoners, in particular people with mental and physical illnesses.
The group will start again on Wednesday 28 February, and should run till the end of the year. Sessions will last from 12.00 till 1pm, with light refreshments provided. The first few sessions will be informal gatherings at which members can make suggestions for activities they would enjoy taking part in, at future meetings. In the past, members have participated in sessions dealing with healthy eating, poetry and gardening.
