Art for Health’s Sake
INUF has run a weekly art workshop for many years, which is pretty popular with our members. We are delighted to welcome Sybil Jones as the new facilitator of the workshop, after the departure of Gintare Zilinskaite, who had been taking it for about two years.

Sybil, based in Newham, and now retired, was an art teacher at Langdon School in East Ham for 21 years. She took an art degree at Newport College of Art and Design, then trained as a teacher at Hornsey Teacher Training College. She can bring her many years of experience and expertise to guiding the INUF group to experiment with trying out new materials and styles, to create original works of art, or, for those who want something less challenging, and more soothing, there are colouring-in sheets.

“I’m really happy that I can do something to make people more confident in themselves by accessing their creative side,” said Sybil, after her most recent workshop.
