Following their earlier success in the North West London League of the Middlesex FA League, the INUF seven-a-side football team, INUF Wanderers, are the also the delighted winners of this year’s South London Special League Premiership, beating seven other teams to the top position.
The team have been playing in this league every Thursday for the last three years, at the Long Lane Junior Football Club in Kidbrooke, London SE3. It is the second time they have come top of the league.
The team was awarded the trophy by the Mayor of Royal Greenwich, Councillor Mick Hayes, at the end of the last match of the season.
“It has been a great experience for everyone,” said Chris Tzanetis, the INUF Manager. “I’m really proud of the team. I’d like to give a big thank you to the organisers, especially Steve Johnston, and also all the other teams that take part.”.
