INUF Members Get Active
On Wednesday, 11 September, a group of INUF members and staff members, Humaira Hussain, INUF Project Coordinator, and Chris Tzanetis, INUF Manager, attended an event organised by Mind, called Get Active Newham, which took place at Royal Albert Docks.
Activities to watch or take part in, included Dragon Boating, martial arts demonstrations, drumming workshops, arts and crafts workshops, and henna tattoo painting. There were also opportunities to get financial and employability advice, and to obtain information on counselling and wellbeing, or healthy eating.
Unfortunately, the event wasn’t particularly well-attended, but our members had a great time.
“Our service users especially enjoyed a pilates class, and the drumming was a great hit!”, said Humaira.
